The Truth About Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent Fasting (IF) is less a diet and more a pattern of eating that cycles between periods of eating and voluntary fasting. The truth is that IF is not a magic weight-loss bullet, but a powerful tool for metabolic management. Its core mechanism lies in achieving a metabolic switch   after approximately 12 to 14 hours of not eating, the body depletes its glucose stores and begins to burn stored fat for energy  a state called ketosis.
